Counselling Care

The mission of Counselling Care is to increase the health, happiness and wellbeing of individuals, couples and families, including those with a child, children or adults with a disability.

L46JW-S1M8D3I_JensenM - Version 2The counsellor, Maureen Jensen, has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and more than 25 years of experience in social services, including five years as a staff member at Autism Calgary. She is the mother of two teens – one was diagnosed with autism at age three and participated in Specialized Services, and the other has been diagnosed with learning disabilities.

Maureen works out of a quiet, comfortable home office, with availability on evenings and weekends. She also offers counselling sessions via Skype, if preferred. Because she is a Registered Health Provider, Maureen’s services may be covered by employer health benefits and may also be a tax deductible expense. Disability-related counselling can also be included in FSCD contracts, which may allow for full reimbursement of counselling costs.
